Posted @withregram • @purelywoof It's raining puppies!!
We received an appeal from a feeder to help take in 5 puppies that were found under a tree near a construction site. They are estimated to be less than 2 weeks old only, but their mummy was nowhere to be seen we have taken them in and they are currently safe under loving foster care! They are NOT up for adoption yet as they need some time to settle down first. Out of the five puppies, one of them was found with a swollen paw. We rushed him to the vet and unfortunately, examination showed that his swollen paw is the result of a bacterial infection. As he is still very young, he will be on antibiotics and we will continue to monitor him to see if he responds well to the medications. If not.. he might need to make an emergency trip to the vet hospital let's pray for our little warrior to be able to win the fight against his bacterial infection!!
Posted @withregram • @purelywoof Its another hectic week as we took in another 5 puppies from Meimei. Puppies are less than 2 weeks old as their eyes are not opened yet.
As I make my way to transport Haru (pictured) last evening, her furbrother Hercules was admitted to the vet hospital for a bacteria infection on one of his hind foot. He is responding well to the meds but we couldn't save his foot . We will update you on Hercules once he is stabilised.
Back to precious Haru.... she is under foster care now. I have much to thank all the fosterers that have reached out to help at the last min. Having said that, I have never expected a gift from Haru's new fosterer Christina. I was taken aback when her lovely 10yo daughter gave me a box of the essence of chicken for the hard work that the Purelywoof team are doing. It was so touching that there are such kind people around to spread the love thru simple but impactful gestures. My exhausted self immediately sprung back to life and off to save more of the helpless and the voiceless out there . Thank you Christina.
Purely woof team - thank you! We shall share the essence of chicken to save more doggies
Poor baby Hercules was admitted to the hospital yesterday night as we found one of his hind foot bleeding and seem badly infected. Its so painful to see his lifeless limb at such a young age. Baby Hercules was rescued together with the rest of his siblings from the construction site by stray feeder Francis, Shirlin & Mei Mei. We are pretty worried as he is still a very young puppy. We will wait for further updates from the Vet and keep everyone posted.
Baby Hercules went for local anesthesia today to remove the infected and dead part of the paw. The infection has extended to his thigh but the remaining leg appears to be healthy. Vet suggested to manage his wound for next few weeks till he is older and can cope better with anesthetic. Get well soon Baby Hercules.

Today he is 51 days old! Weighing at 3.25KG!
We are looking forward to his first vaccine!
This boy is such a champion, although we can see the imbalance weight on both side. He is still trying his very best to balance and play around!
