Starboy

28 DECEMBER 2017

Starboy was from a construction site but due to his good nature, he was constantly bullied and attacked by other pack at site. Hence, Shirlin decided to approach us to save Starboy.

During the latest round of stray feeding by stray feeder Francis and Shirlin, he was found to be injured again and we decided to trap him the next night and send him for treatment before rehoming him.

29 DECEMBER 2017

We got Starboy!! Thank you Shirlin, Francis and everyone on site tonight for the trapping. Its was a long wait but its worth it. Starboy is saved and we will bring him to the Vet tomorrow, treat his injuries and hopefully find a home for him. He is a good friendly boy who is constantly bullied by other pack.

3 JANUARY 2018

Today is the second day that Starboy entered the shelter and he is doing well. We hope to find a fosterer for him as he is really sweet and easy to take care. The only problem we foresee when Starboy goes to a home is toliet training (initially). Starboy has been living in the forest for his whole life and he might not understand where to pee and poo at the correct place (for the first few days). We would hence like to find someone who is experience and patient with dog. If you can help, please contact us at 90018848 (Purely Adoptions).

5 JANUARY 2018

Have you wonder where is the place Starboy was rescued? Stray feeder Shirlin sent in this video during her feeding rounds. Starboy used to sleep, play and eat here. Its hard being a stray animal. Sometimes you get to eat, sometimes you have to fight with other dogs for food. The weaker and gentle one like Starboy will always be bullied and attacked. We are glad there are kind souls like Stray feeder Shirlin and Francis who will watch out for them. At Purely Adoptions, we appreciates the work of Stray Feeders and we have a yearly Easter fund raising to support 9 Stray Feeders islandwide. You can check more on them at this link https://purelyadoptions.com/stray-feeders-stories/on Stray Feeders.

Starboy is still looking for fosterer and we hope to find a home environment for him. If you can help, pls contact 90018848 (Purely Adoptions). We have received $600 donation from Lynette and will close the donation appeal for Starboy. Thank you Lynette for your kind thoughts and contributions. Deeply touched.

9 JANUARY 2018

Starboy is doing very well at the Meow and Wuff boarding kennel and his wounds are healing. For those who have been to the Lim Chu Kang shelter, you will know that this is a remote place with no bus stops in the vicinity and a long distance from the nearest taxi stand. Hence, we were very touched to learn that stray feeder Francis and the wonderful security guards of the construction site visited him at the shelter last Saturday. The security guards even brought a $5 drumstick to visit him!

We would also like to thank Lynette for the $600 donation, which covered the medical bills of Starboy. Your love and kindness will definitely help in his recovery. We will also be closing the donation for Starboy's treatment. Thank you everyone for all your help and donation for his case.

Starboy is a very sweet and lovely dog, who loves to be with human and always wear a smile on his face. He is medium sized and we hope to find a foster home for him while he receives his treatment. If you can foster him or would like to adopt him while he receives his treatment, please contact 9001 8848 (Purely Adoptions).

1O JANUARY 2018

We had received a a picture update of Starboy from his boarding kennel in the afternoon and we are really worried. We rushed Starboy to the vet the next day and we will keep everyone updated of his condition. We certainly hope everything is well!

28 JANUARY 2018

Starboy was discharged from Meow & Wuff Pet Care Services on 28th January to a foster home. We would like to thank Poey Yee for taking good care of Starboy at the Kennel and for providing us with regular updates on him.

When we brought Starboy to Emma (The fosterer)'s apartment, he was thrilled and excited with his new home. We loved the smile on Starboy's face when he entered the kitchen and when he explored the whole apartment. He was probably amazed by what he saw.

Starboy has been diagnosed with heartworm and we have started his Heartworm treatment. His current bill stands at $1,610.65 and we received kind donation of $600 from Lynette and $600 from Furries Loft. We are expecting his medical bill to increase by another $1,000plus as we continue with his Heartworm Treatment.

If you like to donate to his medical bill, you can donate directly to Purely Adoptions UOB Current A/C: 631-302-019-0 Or write a cheque to "Purely Adoptions Limited" and post to : PO Box 236, Thomson Rd Post Office S915708. Do indicate "Starboy" in your donation.

Thank you for your kind donation.

30 JANUARY 2018

It was Starboy's 3rd night at fosterer Emma's place. He loves the comfy carpet 🙂 Glad to see him safe at home and not bullied by others at the construction site.

We are Purely Adoptions and we will keep you updated on Starboy.

16 May 2018

This happy-go-lucky patient is up for adoption while he undergo his medical treatment. Look at his happy face and you wonder if he is really sick 🙂Well, he is tested heartworm positive and he is probably very happy to have a day outing from his Kennel.

30 June 2018

Starboy went for trial homestay today. He is still undergoing Heartworm treatment but we found this lovely family who is willing to consider adopting him.

8 July 2018

We have a wonderful news to share with everyone on this lovely Sunday morning. Starboy (renamed as Max) has been adopted by Sulin and her family!

We are always thankful to Adopters who consider dogs under medical treatment and does not hesitate to give them a forever home. Thank you Sulin and family for giving Max a home although he is still under Heartworm treatment. We are glad Max is safe and happy and has the company of Boy Cat and Girl Cat.

24 SEPTEMBER 2018

Starboy (https://purelyadoptions.com/rescue_tales/starboy/ and Loopie's mummy sent us some pictures and we can't wait to share with everyone. Both Starboy and Loopies were rescued from the street and we can't imagine how much they suffered before they were rescued. They were probably struggling to find food everyday and slept on some makeshift cover.

The latest updates make us very happy. We can't be happier seeing them on the bed and having so much fun at home. Its a wonderful Mid-Autumn present 🙂 Sulin, thank you for the latest updates and opening your home to these 2 fortunate furkid. They are very blessed to have met you.
